Highly practical

It is not just about the tents being comfortable once you have set them up. They also need to be easy to erect, so that you can get on with enjoying the beauty of the great outdoors, rather than spending the whole day setting up your home from home. This has certainly been considered by both Kampa and Vango. In the case of Vango, you can get yourself an airbeam tent that comes with a pump. No poles are needed, and you simply need to blow up the airbeams with the pump and then fasten the tent down with your pegs. These tents are fast to pitch and you will find yourself done in a matter of minutes! The Kampa tents are nice and compact, making them easy to set up too. Their poles are fibreglass and so are lightweight, and therefore easy to manoeuvre. Plus, Kampa has cleverly sewn the groundsheet in place, so you will be immediately protected from moisture and bugs wherever you set up.

Living area space

Some of the larger Vango tents are not only great for a night's rest, but also for mealtimes and chill-out time. If it is raining outside, then you will not want to be having a soggy breakfast or dinner. This is where the covered living area will come in handy. Plus, Vango's tents also come with plenty of space for storage too, so your bedrooms and living areas need not be cluttered with all your bags. If, however, you want a more compact tent for crashing at festivals, or perhaps on a cycle trip, then Kampa's tents are to be recommended. Because they fold down into such a small package, they will not take up too much room if you are on the move cycling or hiking with your tent packed away.
