About Jetboil cooking systems

Jetboil was started in 2001 with a simple but powerful idea. Jetboil founders Dwight Aspinwall and Perry Dowst were frustrated with heavy vacuum bottles and clunky stoves, so they set out to make outdoor cooking easier. They discovered that the secret to a fast and friendly design lies in increasing heat transfer efficiency. Alternating between the lab and mountains, a series of designs were subjected to intense experimental and field testing. The result is a series of products as reliable as they are remarkable; as usable as they are unique.

The joys of outdoor cooking

A meal is not simply about refuelling, you should also be able to enjoy it too, wherever you are. This idea is what drives Jetboil to create highly effective cooking equipment perfect for the great outdoors and food on the go.

The Jetboil was pioneering in its testing and development to improve heat transfer efficiency. Essentially they increased the surface area of the bottom of their Jetboil pots with a system known as FluxRing technology, allowing more efficient heating. Efficient heating not only reduces the time taken to heat but as a consequence of this, it also reduces the amount of fuel required to heat.

High-quality cooking systems

Something that's essential when you cook is control. Sometimes outdoor cooking tools on the market don't always make control easy but this isn't the case with Jetboil, whose mobile stoves allow for incremental adjustments of the fuel flow. You will be able to move between light simmers and rolling boils with ease and accuracy. This means that you will get the same kind of cooking control as you might expect to find at home. Plus, when you want to go crank it up a notch and go full blast, you'll have water boiling for your kettle in only a couple of minutes.
