Mountain Equipment has a deep passion for exploring wild places and mountains and they are only too aware that this pursuit comes with its own very specific pressures. World-renowned quality

Since 1961, Mountain Equipment has been learning by doing. The company began just over 60 years ago, and since then they have not just been in the lab testing out new methods of manufacturing their kit. They have also been out there in the wilds, climbing the world's highest peaks; supporting climbers on new uncharted routes; helping people to set new world records to the North and South Poles, and doing it all because it is not just a job but a life-long passion. Through all these experiences, Mountain Equipment has been building on its own knowledge. They have experienced this world in all its natural extremities and these experiences have fed into the unbelievable quality of the gear that they are able to offer.

Mountain Equipment hats and gloves have been made with materials that are fast-drying, so that you won't have to worry about becoming damp, which is all important when you are out in the elements. As well as hats, there are other items of headwear from Mountain Equipment that are also very useful in certain conditions, such as headbands and balaclavas. The microfleece headbands for example will be ideal to add a bit of warmth and reduce exposure of the ears on chilly ski days or hikes.
